Curbside Yard Waste Collection Ends This Week
Residents can buy stickers at City Hall to use the drop-off site in Blackstone, Mass.

WOONSOCKET, RI — Curbside spring yard waste collection is ending this week, the City of Woonsocket said. But according to the Division of Solid Waste, the yard waste drop-off site in Blackstone, Mass., off Canal Street (North Smithfield) will stay open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, for residents with a sticker.
The stickers are sold for $25 at City Hall in the public works department office. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proper identification and vehicle registration is required. Commercial vehicle registrations are excluded from this program. Residents are also reminded that it is illegal to throw yard waste in the household waste collection carts and/or recycle carts. Curbside yard waste collection will resume in October.
