David Bottoms Indicted for Child Rape, Molestation, Giving Girls Crack Cocaine
Bottoms allegedly molested one girl under 14, raped another under 14 and introduced both to crack cocaine.
The Providence County Grand Jury on Friday reported out an indictment charging David Bottoms, 44, of Woonsocket, with multiple counts of child rape and child molestation.
Bottoms, who lived on Mason Street and is currently being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston, allegedly molested a girl under 14 and raped another girl under 14 between Sept. 1 of 2010 and Jan. 21 of 2015.
Bottoms also allegedly contributed to the delinquency of the two victims by introducing them to smoking crack cocaine, said Rhode Island Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin.

All told, Bottoms was charged with two counts of first degree child molestation, three counts of second degree child molestation, three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a count of first degree sexual assault and three counts of second degree sexual assault.
Woonsocket police arrested Bottoms in January after an investigation.

Bottoms is due to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on June 10.
