Ending: Curbside Yard Waste Pickup

This is the last week for grass clippings and other yard waste until April.

WOONSOCKET, RI — Yard waste pick-up concludes for the season this week, according to Blake Collins, the city's spokesman.

Curbside pick-up of yard waste (grass clippings, small branches, weeds,etc.) will end on residents’ designated trash/recycling collection day during the week of November 28 through December 2, he said.

The collections will resume in April 2017.

Meantime, yard waste placed in bags or in household collection carts will not be picked up.Additionally, the yard waste drop-off site in Blackstone, Mass., accessible by Canal Street in North Smithfield will close for the winter season on Saturday, Dec. 3. That site will re-open in April 2017.
