The newest show of works by Edward Benjamin, III is a collection of paintings, photos, and graphic expressions that explore the many meanings of being "In The Nick". Struggling creatively in search of a voice, with deadlines looming and responsibilities always doggedly in pursuit, an artist can easily find himself in a world of confusion and darkness.  The inspiration for "In The Nick" came from a simple phrase, "...in the nick of time".  Digging deeper, the origins and translation of this expression are found to be as diverse as the choices and situations presented to a man in search of himself.  Presented with full commentary by the artist, "In The Nick" seems a perfect idiom for the motivation to share the artist's talents with friends, colleagues, and the community.Â
