YWCA Northern Rhode Island is sponsoring a Race Against Racism. This 5K Run/Walk is held to unite people of all races, demonstrate our community's commitment to eliminating racism, and celebrate our diversity. Proceeds support community and racial justice efforts. Event partners include Family Resources Community Action, Landmark Medical Center, LISC Rhode Island, NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley, Northern Rhode Island Area Health Education Center, RiverzEdge Arts Project, Thundermist Health Center, and Woonsocket Prevention Coalition. Registration includes a T-Shirt. The top three male and female finishers will be awarded.
First place age division winners will also be awarded for male and female finishers (no double dipping): under 18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
