Former Woonsocket Highway Superintendent Fired From New Job

North Providence recently hired, and then fired Friday morning, a former Woonsocket highway superintendent.

Robert Harnois was fired from that Woonsocket job years ago and was fired Friday morning by North Providence.

The Providence Journal reported that Harnois was hired as deputy public works director in North Providence and worked for two days. North Providence’s interim public works director Bernard Salvatore said that for legal reasons he could not comment on why Harnois was terminated.
