Lyrics In Motion Debuts At Turn It Up Dance Challenge

Dancers win gold awards, one going to nationals.

 

Lyrics In Motion Dance Studio of Woonsocket unveiled itself to the dance world at “Turn It Up Dance Challenge” on Saturday April 28.

With it being their first competition, they made the studio’s Owner and Artistic Director, Hilarie Viens, extremely proud.

Joelle Minisce, soloist, received a Gold award, and Nicole Poor, also a soloist, received a High Gold award as well and was asked to join the event's National Dance Team.

Amy Fink, Kelsey Ryan, and Victoria Burgess, along with the above soloist also received a Gold award for their group number “What are we fighting for” which exemplified conquering poverty, depression, violence, war, and discrimination.

is a non-competitive studio based off of a family atmosphere and community service. At the studio, students receive a complete dance education, as well as learn to go “Beyond The Movement” with different morals and values every month. Once students are asked to become company members, they have the option to compete in a local dance competition, with the proceeds going to a charity or organization. A portion of the proceeds from “Turn It Up Dance Challenge” were donated to the Susan G Komen Foundation, which works to find a cure for breast cancer.
