More Lost Loot: Ghostly New England Treasure at Cumberland Public Library

Cumberland Public Library 1464 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland, RI 02864 Thursday, October 22, 2015 6-8PM

Did you know that Rhode Island is home to lost and haunted treasure sites? Patricia Hughes will explore the supernatural history that abounds our area this evening! She will describe the ghost towns, lost Native American villages, forgotten mines, and valuable gem discoveries. Pirates were welcome, and when they visited, the legends suggest that they left their loot behind. Begin your search in Rhode Island where Captain Kidd is said to have buried coins at the northern tip of Sandy Point. (Coins from his era have been found here!) But beware, black dog guardians, wildmen, and pirate ghosts protect these treasures from ever being found. Yo Ho Ho! Register online or call or visit the Reference Desk.
