Music at the Monastery at Cumberland Public Library: No Spring Chickens

Cumberland Public Library 1464 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland, RI 02864 Thursday, August 6, 2015 6:30-8PM

The Cumberland Public Library is hosting Music at the Monastery, a new summer concert series providing a free opportunity to hear some great local bands and musicians on the front lawn between the Library and the Porter’s Lodge on the Monastery Grounds. The second concert will be by No Spring Chickens on Thursday, August 6 at 6:30 pm.

Linda Blaze and Michelle Tanguay, aka No Spring Chickens, are known for their powerful vocals and proficient guitar work. The band is well known throughout New England for their heart-felt original songs and high-energy covers of well-known tunes. Blaze and Tanguay originally found acclaim as founding members of the Boston-based acoustic trio City of Roses. They have played at Johnny D’s, Club Passim, the Linden Tree Coffee House, the Muse (now Tupelo Music Hall), the Sittin’ Bull Pub, Blackthorne Tavern, the Me and Thee Coffee House, and the 2006 Boston Folk. An evening with No Spring Chickens includes their own originals as well as a wide range of favorites from rock, folk, and pop legends. More information about the duo can be found at http://www.nospringchickens.net.

For more information about this concert or the series as a whole, feel free to contact Aaron Coutu at 333-2552 x2 or acoutu@cumberlandlibrary.org.
