Now Enrolling for Workforce Investment Opportunity Act Program

Career Supports Available for Young Adults in Northern RI

The Harbour YouthWorks411 Center at Community Care Alliance provides career readiness and academic enrichment for youth, and is looking for young adults, ages 16 to 24, to enroll in the Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program. Young adults receive individualized support to meet their career and academic goals and may qualify for a ten week paid internship. Cash incentives are available over the course of a year for completing program benchmarks. This program specifically targets young adults in northern Rhode Island that are recent high school graduates pursuing post-secondary education, training for a trade, military, etc. To be considered for the program, young adults must also be low-income and/or receiving SNAP benefits or another type of public assistance.
