Now Enrolling for Youth & Young Adult Employment & Academic Support Programs
Employment Opportunities for Youth & Adults
The YouthWorks411 Center at Community Care Alliance is currently enrolling for two programs for youth/young adults. The Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program provides academic and career assistance to young adults ages 16-24 in northern Rhode Island who are recent high school graduates or pursuing their GED. Participants may qualify for a ten week paid internships; cash incentives for completing program benchmarks over the course of a year. Participants must also be low-income and receiving SNAP benefits or another type of public assistance.
Enrollment is also open for the Greater Woonsocket 2016 Youth Summer Jobs Program, a 6-week summer program for youth and young adults ages 14 to 24 residing in Woonsocket, North Smithfield, Cumberland, Lincoln, and Burrillville. All prospective participants and their parent or guardian (if under 18) must attend an application night at the Youth Center. Application nights are held every Wednesday evening from 4-6pm at CCA’s YouthWORKS411 Center, 65 Main Street, Woonsocket. The application process will take approximately one hour.
Prospective participants for the Youth Summer Jobs Program must bring the following to the application night:

- Applicant birth certificate
- Applicant social security card
- Applicant proof of address within the past 90 days (usually a report card – must have youth’s name and address on it)
- Proof of family income for the past 6 months (or most recent SNAP statement, must have youth name on back of statement letter)
