Obituary: Muriel Laplume
Muriel C. Laplume 86, of 230 Dulude Ave. died Monday at St. Antoine Residence.

Muriel C. Laplume 86, of 230 Dulude Ave. died Monday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Roland H. Laplume. A lifelong city resident, she was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Maurice and Rena (Bouchard) Blain. Muriel was a stitcher at the former Uni-Royal Co. for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Sr. Citizens Club and the Woonsocket Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary, the Emblem Club. She was a very loving person who was "Mom" or "Memere" to many. She and Roland would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on December 22.

She is survived by a son Roger R. Laplume of Bellingham, a daughter Diane T. Fregeau and her husband Robert of Cumberland, three grandchildren; Deana Robidoux, Craig Fregeau, and Michael Laplume, a sister Gertrude Tessier of Woonsocket, and six great- grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Normand Blain and Lillian Rivet.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM, from the, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket , with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Rd. Cumberland. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery in Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 PM.
