Pasta Fundraiser Thursday Night For Woonsocket High Alumna
A pasta dinner will be held Thursday at the St. Joseph's Veterans Association for Rebecca Arel, who is battling Chiari Malformation type 1.
WOONSOCKET, RI — A Thursday night pasta fundraiser at the St. Joseph's Veterans Association will raise money for Woonsocket High alumna and Woonsocket Toy Drive volunteer Rebecca Arel battling Chiari Malformation type 1. Hearts With Hope Inc. is hosting the event at the hall on Louise Street.
Chiari Malformation type I is a condition where brain tissue is crowded out of the skull and affects the spinal cord. It can cause severe headaches, balance issues and a tingling sensation in hands and feet. Arel recently had surgery for the condition and faces further treatments.
Hearts with Hope, Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Woonsocket High Alumni facing serious medical conditions or catastrophic life events.
