Professional Association Elects City Assessor to Leadership Role

Elyse M. Paré, has been elected Vice President of the Rhode Island Association of Assessing Officers.

WOONSOCKET, RI — The city's assessor has been tapped for a leadership role with the Rhode Island Association of Assessing Officers. According to Blake Collins, Woonsocket's business outreach and public relations coordinator, Elyse M. Paré has been elected vice president of the state’s only professional organization of municipal tax assessors.

Paré has served as the City Assessor for the City of Woonsocket since December. Before that, she spent four years with the City of Providence.

In her role in Woonsocket, she oversees the tax assessments of all residential, commercial, and tangible property in the city.

“It is my goal to positively impact policy and procedure followed by Assessors throughout the State to benefit taxpayers," Paré said.
