Here are the top five stories in Woonsocket today:
1. A group of community members and activists have announced the launch of Rebuild Woonsocket, an organization that will work towards equality by registering voters, engaging community members, educating the public, fighting for transformative policies and organizing protests. A virtual launch will take place Wednesday, May 26 at 5:30 p.m. (UpriseRI)
2. The Rhode Island Department of Health announced that the state has surpassed one million COVID-19 vaccine doses as of Tuesday morning, the equivalent of one vaccine dose for every resident in the state. (Patch)
3. Three Rhode Islanders pleaded guilty to charges related to an FBI drug and firearm trafficking investigation, admitting to distributing crack cocaine and fentanyl in Woonsocket and various other locations. (Patch)
4. Seven more Rhode Island high school seniors won $2,500 National Merit Scholarships Wednesday. These students were chosen out of 16,000 finalists nationwide. (Patch)
5.The Rhode Island House of Representatives has passed a bill to officially change the name of T.F. Green Airport in Warwick to Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport.

- Hopedale Housing Authority meets today at 9:30 a.m. in the Rec Hall at 116 Hopedale Street.
- Savini's Pomodoro is hosting a Go Red Empowerment Party tonight from 6-8 p.m. as part of the American Heart Association's Woman of Impact Go Red campaign. Participants will learn about how to take charge of their heart health. Tickets can be purchased here.
- Liverpool FC International Academy, in partnership with Woonsocket Parks and Rec, is hosting a free soccer clinic at River's Edge Recreation Department tonight from 5-7 p.m. Click here to register.
- Papo's Pub is hosting Thursday Karaoke from 8:30-10:30 p.m. The event is organized by WRIK Entertainment and is open to the public.
