🌱 RI Tops U.S. COVID Rate + Man Shot In Foxwoods Casino Garage

  1. RI is now ranked #1 in the U.S. for COVID infection rate. The highest warning level by Covid Act Now is "Severe" and we're it. The transmission rate had a 300% increase in the last 3 weeks. (Providence Journal)
  2. A man was shot inside Foxwoods Casino parking garage Saturday night. It remains under investigation. The President and CEO of Foxwoods released a written statement; "The safety of our guests and team members is paramount, and we are working closely with both State and Tribal law officials." Many of us take day trips to Foxwoods. Be safe. (Turn to 10)
  3. RI's first Amazon distribution center began construction in Johnston. The 3.8 million-square-foot building will be located near Route 6 and Interstate 295. The goal is to have the facility up and running by March 2023. (WJAR)
