High School teams see achievements along with struggles on the hard-court, and a privilege on the ice.

Woonsocket Girls Basketball is now 3-2 overall on the seaon and 2-2 in league play, putting them right in the middle of the pack in Division I North. The Villa Novans added another member to the 1000-point club on Thursday, when Senior Kailey Fugere surpassed the milestone against Barrington. Woonsocket won their last contest and will travel to Bayview on Wednesday.

MSC Girls Basketball notched their first win on Thursday, the Dec. 22, when they defeated Hope High School. The next game for the Mounties is on Jan. 4, when they travel to Johnston to resume league play.

Woonsocket Boys Basketball has yet to get into the win column, with an 0-2 record in Division I North. The Villa Novans have been outscored 128-91 in those games and will look to step things up on Tuesday against North Kingstown.

MSC Boys Basketball is winless to this point in the season and will look to change that on Tuesday against North Smithfield.

Woonsocket Boys Hockey has had a rough season to this point. They've yet to score a goal this year and have allowed 44 in four games, averaging 11 goals allowed per game. The young Villa Novan squad will look to bounce back on Friday against Scituate.

MSC Boys Hockey is now 2-2 on the season, defeating Burrillville and Moses Brown and falling twice to Lasalle, once in overtime. The Mounties now sit in fifth place in Division I North and took first place this week in the Holiday Face Off tournament at Adelard Arena. The team will travel to Fenway Park in Boston on Monday, for a non-league experience of a lifetime in a game against Cathedral-Springfield.
