Thundermist Opening "Quick Care" Clinic In Woonsocket Monday

Walk-in clinic will not turn away patients unable to pay.

On Monday, July 23, is opening a β€œQuick Care” treatment center at its flagship health center in Woonsocket, 450 Clinton St.

Quick Care will be open to the public for the treatment of common illnesses and injuriesβ€”no appointment needed. Walk-in patients are diagnosed and treated by certified Nurse Practitioners, who will also prescribe medication, if necessary; narcotics cannot be prescribed. Quick Care patients will have the option of becoming primary care patients of Thundermist if they wish.

You do NOT need to be a patient of Thundermist to use Quick Care services, which will operate extended hours. Quick Care is open 7 days a week/365 days a year. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday – 10:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m; Sat, Sun, Holidays – 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

For anyone with health insurance seeking treatment at Quick Care, the co-pay will be similar to a regularly scheduled doctor visit, not an emergency room visit. For those without health insurance, a low, flat rate will be available. In some cases, HMO patients will be charged an uninsured flat rate; a receptionist can discuss a possible refund. No one will be turned away because of inability to pay.

Quick Care will provide treatment for issues, such as - deer tick bites and removal, minor injuries, cuts, fevers, illnesses such as ear and/or sinus infections, allergies, gastro-enteritis, skin rashes, etc… Sports or camp physicals are also available at Quick Care. Quick Care has already opened at Thundermist sites in West Warwick and South County.
