Trash and Recycling Collection Delayed
The snowstorm has caused Woonsocket trash and recycling collection to be delayed by one-day this week.
Woonsocket’s trash and recycling collection will have a one-day delay for the rest of the week.
There was no collection on Monday and collection will begin on Tuesday.
There is an expected delayed start on Tuesday, Michael Debroisse, Superintendent of Solid Waste/ Engineering announced.

The City of Woonsocket asks residents to place out all collection carts on the appropriate collection day. No carts should be out on the streets or sidewalks on Monday.
The City recommends residents to:

- Shovel the area where the trash and recycling carts are place and make sure collection trucks will be able to successfully empty the waste.
- Place keep 3 feet of space between the carts.
- Make sure the carts are 3 feet from telephone poles and fire hydrants.
- Keep the covers on to keep snow out of the carts.
