Up To You: Original Location Of Pierannunzi Shoe Rebuilding

Woonsocket has more than its fair share of vacant buildings and empty properties. Some have been empty for years while others see a rotating crop of businesses. If it were up to you, what would you like to see happen to these spaces?

It was once a place to have your shoes touched up, re-soled or repaired at the corner of Front Street and Court Street, near Court Square.

Now the spot is vacant, after the owner, Norman Decelles moved Pierannunzi Shoe Rebuilding to 534 Elm St. because the building was scheduled to be demolished.

What do you think would fit best for whatever replaces this building? A gift shop?  A restaurant? What would you like to see?
