Want to be a Substitute Teacher in Woonsocket?
The pay for substitute teachers was increased by the school committee to attract more subs.
The Woonsocket Teachers’ Guild is looking substitute teachers.
Mothers, recent college grads, retirees and basically anyone is invited to apply.
There is one requirement: applicants must have a college degree, in any subject, to become certified as a sub.

The School Committee even raised the substitute pay from $75 to $100 per day as an incentive for more people to apply as a sub, according to a post on the Woonsocket Teachers’ Guild (WTG) Facebook page.
