City of Woonsocket Announcements:

The City of Woonsocket issued a press release reminding residents to have sufficient shelter, food water and fuel for the next few days in addition to flashlights and extra batteries in case of a power outage.

The City would like residents to clear the nearest hydrant of snow to assist public safety once the storm has cleared.

Advice from Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency:

  • If you use oil/propane to heat your home, clear a path to your fill pipe & clear fill vents so that you may receive fuel deliveries.
  • Do not call 911 to report a power outage. Contact National Grid US at 1-800-465-1212 or visit here.
  • Check on elderly family, friends and neighbors to make sure they are in good shape and to see if they need assistance with shoveling .
