Woonsocket To Celebrate Day of Portugal With Flag Raising
Monday is Day of Portugal in Rhode Island.

WOONSOCKET, RI — On Monday, June 5, the City of Woonsocket and Rhode Island Day of Portugal will host a Portuguese Flag Raising ceremony at Woonsocket City Hall at 11:30 a.m. The ceremony, led by Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt, will include a speaking program followed by a reception in historic Harris Hall. Monday’s Flag Raising marks the 40th anniversary of the Day of Portugal in RI when the state celebrates the contributions of Portuguese culture to communities around the world. In the event of rain, the event will be moved indoors to Harris Hall.
