Woonsocket to Celebrate Earth Day Saturday April 15

The volunteers will clean up the neighborhood around the Woodlawn Cemetery, the mayor's office said, on April 15.

WOONSOCKET, RI — On Earth Day, Woonsocket residents will celebrate by rolling up their sleeves and cleaning up one of the neighborhoods, the mayor's office said Monday.

Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt said the City has selected Woodlawn Cemetery at the corner of Bernon Street and Manville Road, for the Earth Day job. The cleanup happens on April 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“This year’s neighborhood cleanup is a great way to celebrate Earth Day and support our efforts to maintain a clean, green, and healthy community,” said Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt. “I look forward to joining neighbors, friends, and residents in cleaning up a section of our City as we recognize the importance of the environment we live in.”
