Woonsocket DMV Closed Due to Power Outage Tuesday
As if you enjoyed going to the DMV in the first place.

Heading to the DMV is often a dreadful task, so imagine showing up only to find out it’s not even open.
That’s the case for some folks in Woonsocket today. The Woonsocket Division of Motor Vehicles facility at 217 Pond St. is closed for the day Tuesday after a power outage that affected a few thousands residents and businesses in the city.
The outage also briefly knocked out phone service for the Woonsocket Police Department.

There’s another option. AAA has offered to help out anyone with license and registration renewals at any of their offices in Rhode Island. Note: it’s for license and registration renewals only.
