Woonsocket Firefighters Help With Coat Drive

The firefighters delivered new coats to the needy.

WOONSOCKET, RI—It's not a fire sale because these winter coats are free, but the Woonsocket Fire Department has teamed up with the state association of fire chiefs and Ocean State Job Lot on a coat drive.

The store donated 600 new winter coats to the state fire chief's association, and the association sent them out to six local departments, including Woonsocket.

According to the city, the fire department has delivered 96 winter coats to local community organizations.
