The fun starts with a concert at 7 p.m. and fireworks at around 9 p.m.

The weather looks great for Woonsocket’s annual Independence Day celebrations, which are set for Friday night.
“I am pleased to announce that our annual Independence Day concert and fireworks celebration will once again be held for the enjoyment of all of our City residents,” Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt said in a release. “This year we will honor Independence Day at the alternate location of Barry Field as we continue to honor our veterans with the renovation of World War II Memorial State Park.”
Local favorite Jeff Gamache and Runaway Train, a 6 piece band will give a two hour performance featuring country music for the first hour and a mix of pop, rock and blues in the second hour. During the band’s set break, Jeff will sing a variety of patriotic favorites.
