Woonsocket Gymnast Wins State Championship

On April 1, YWCA gymnast Anna Therien of Woonsocket received first place for Level 4, USA Gymnastics Rhode Island State Championship Meet at Providence Career and Technical Academy in Providence, RI.  

“We are very proud of Anna and her recent accomplishment of placing first in the USA Gymnastics State Championship Meet,” said Deborah L. Perry, president/chief executive officer of YWCA Northern Rhode Island. “We hope that more young women will join in our gymnastics academy to increase their physical activity, learn about teamwork, set personal goals, and improve their self-confidence."
