Woonsocket Man Charged In Crash Involving Car Stolen At Dunkin'
Police said Jonathan Winiarski, 31, was charged after a car stolen while left running and unoccupied was later crashed on Route 99.
WOONSOCKET, RI – A Woonsocket man was charged with larceny and driving without a license after Woonsocket police said a car left unoccupied and running at a Dunkin’ on Sunday was involved in a crash on Route 99 a short time later. Police said Jonathan Winiarski, 31, left the scene of the crash and was located on Oliver Street with the help of Woonsocket K9 Aspen.
Police said they received a report of a car left running and unoccupied at the Dunkin’ on Cass Avenue. The suspect fled toward Cumberland Hill Road before police said the 2017 Toyota Camry crashed into other cars on Route 99 in Cumberland.
Winiarski was charged with larceny over $1,500, driving without a license and was arrested on a superior court warrant.

Woonsocket police said there were at least minor injuries at the accident scene.
Police said Tuesday morning there was no high-speed pursuit in the incident. An officer clocked the stolen car on radar doing 70 miles per hour, but lost pursuit. The officer pulled over another driver when he was called to the scene of the crash.

Winiarski was set to appear in 6th District Court on Tuesday.
