Man Dies From Injuries In Woonsocket Pedestrian Strike: Report

WOONSOCKET, RI – A man who was taken to Rhode Island in critical condition late Thursday night after being struck on Hamlet Avenue has died. Woonsocket said Thursday night they were investigating the pedestrian accident where a man was hit by a pizza delivery car. WPRI-TV reported that police said Friday morning that he had died from his injuries.

Police said the driver remained on scene and was cooperating with the investigation. They said no arrests were made as of Thursday night and that more information would be released as it became available on Friday.

WPRI-TV said the victim was a 67-year-old man who was wearing dark clothing and not walking in a crosswalk.
