Woonsocket Police Log: Man Attempts Break-In While Resident Watches

City man watches intruder attempt break-in

Michael Joseph Letourneau, 21, of 40 Delude Ave. was arrested on Thursday after police responded to a B & E in progress. A resident at 213 High Street reported that he watched Letourneau try to get through the security door of the building and then proceed to the window of his home. The victim reported that Letourneau pushed the screen open and tried for more than two minutes to budge the locked glass window. The victim got a good look at the intruders face during this period and not recognizing him, immediately dialed 911.

Letourneau told police he was trying to visit a friend but could not give a name or apartment number. He was arrested at 4:12 a.m. for attempted breaking and entering.

Fake name fails city man with warrant

Luis Antonio Colon, 40, of 92 Blackstone St. was arrested at 423 Arnold Street on Thursday after insisting to police he was Manuel Garcia from Providence. Police recognized Colon, and were unable to find his alias in their database. Colon was brought into the station to be properly identified and admitted his real name. He was held on a warrant and obstructing an officer in the line of duty.

Other Police Activity

Tyeasha Robinson, 19, of 63 Fountain St. was arrested at 2:11 a.m. on Thursday on a warrant and for driving without a license on Cass Avenue.

Alfred McMahon 35, of 80 Glen Road was arrested at 6:02 p.m. in front of for a warrant and driving without a license.

Ernesto Perez, 50, of 425 Providence St. was picked up by police at 9:40 p.m. on South Main Street on Thursday for driving under the influence (1st offense) and driving without a license.
