Woonsocket Police Offering Citizens Academy

WOONSOCKET, RI — Woonsocket police are offering a chance to learn more about the department and build relationships through its Citizens Police Academy. As part of the academy, attendees learn about methods of patrols, use of force, drug investigations, use of force, crime scene investigations, DUI investigations, the K-9 unit and more.

The course runs Thursday nights from Feb. 6 to March 6 at the Woonsocket Middle School from 6 to 9 p.m. Attendees must be 18 years old, live in Woonsocket and be of good character. There is no cost to attend, but those interested must register by Dec. 31.
