Woonsocket Students' Research On Display Today
ELO Woonsocket kids to present multimedia, art projects on various topics.
Join and their students, advisors, and community mentors for an afternoon highlighting all of their work, innovation and dedication today at the Woonsocket Depot (One Depot Square) today from 4 to 7 p.m.
ELO enables students to utilize internships with local community agencies and businesses to design and develop credit-bearing learning opportunities. A certified teacher from the high school coordinates the work with the students in order to ensure they're acquiring the knowledge, skills, and concepts required in the Grade Span Expectations as set forth by the Rhode Island Department of Education.

Students at Woonsocket High School and the Area Career and Technical Center have been hard at work developing hands-on, innovative projects ranging from pediatric and cardiologic study, oral histories, to spending a life-changing 3 weeks in Rwanda.
There will be multi-media presentations and a panel discussion about these experiential, credit-worthy projects. Hear all about these and other projects, and hear how learning this way changes the student's outlook on their education and their future.
