Woonsocket Toddler Injured In Fall From Third-Story Window
Police say the window was opened by the child's six-year-old sibling while they were playing in the bedroom.
WOONSOCKET, RI — A three-year-old boy was injured Wednesday evening after falling out of an open third-story window. The toddler and his six-year-old sibling were being watched by their grandmother at the time. Police said the incident appears to be an unfortunate accident.
According to Woonsocket police, the incident happened around 6 p.m. on Privilege Street. The child's sibling opened the window to let in fresh air and the screen was open.
"Up on the third floor, it gets warm, so the child opened the window," said Woonsocket Captain Michael Lemoine. "Luckily, the house has a small porch, which appears to have slightly broken his fall."
