Woonsocket Trash & Recycling Schedule Changes For MLK Day

There's no trash or recycling pickup on Jan. 16, and the schedule for the rest of the week is on a one-day delay, due to the holiday.

WOONSOCKET, RI— In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, curbside trash and recycling collection will not occur on Jan. 16, and will be delayed one day during the remainder of the week (from Jan. 16, through Jan. 20).

The Woonsocket Department of Solid Waste advises residents to not place plastic shopping bags in recycle carts. Plastic shopping bags can be returned to many retailer locations for collection or be brought to the Woonsocket Recycle Facility (943 River Street) for proper recycling. As always, extra recycling can be brought to the Woonsocket Recycling Facility for proper disposal.

Please contact the Woonsocket Department of Solid Waste with any further questions or concerns at (401) 767-8880.
