Woven in Time Screening at Cumberland Public Library: The Narragansett Salt Pond Preserve

Join us for a special screening of “Woven in Time: The Narragansett Salt Pond Preserve”. The Salt Pond site has been the home of the Narragansetts since pre-colonial times. This buried village has been the site of controversy because developers want to profit from the land while archaeologists and state officials want to preserve the history and value. Filmmaker Marc Levitt will also be here to discuss the making of the film and the progress that has been made since its creation. This is an important local issue that everyone should understand as we look to preserve our history and make progress.
