Yoga for Teen Athletes at Cumberland Public Library

Cumberland Public Library 1464 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland, RI 02864 Wednesday, July 20, 2016 6-7PM

Join Gabrielle DeFusco, an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, and learn to incorporate yoga as a way to improve your athletic performance. As a 6,000 year old mind-body practice, yoga helps create strong, lean flexible muscles, strengthens the core, enhances range of motion of the joints, and prevents and reduces potential injuries. Other benefits of yoga include improved concentration, focus, and balance, while reducing tension and anxiety. Through yoga poses and breathing exercises, discover how yoga can be part of your athletic training! No yoga experience necessary. Please bring a yoga mat and wear modest, comfortable clothing you can move in. Yoga is practiced barefoot for your safety.

Teens ages 13-18 welcome. Register online or call or visit the Reference Desk. Participants must pick up a form to be signed by their Parent or Guardian before attending.
