The funding will help cover licensing, equipment, and supplies, supporting a safe, enriching environment for kids while parents work and strengthening regional access to dependable care.
   

• Health Break: Bluffton rehabilitation hospital uses game-like technology for regaining mobility (live5news.com) — Bluffton residents recovering from strokes, Parkinson's, or hip fractures now have access to intensive, game-like rehab technology at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Bluffton. Staff demonstrated touch-screen and robotic tools that help patients rebuild mobility during 12-day average stays, with daily physician visits, 24-7 nursing, and three hours of therapy a day to prepare people for returning home.
   

• Mock trial facility planned for Bluffton to train Lowcountry prosecutors (live5news.com) — Bluffton will host a new $8.5 million mock trial facility designed to train Lowcountry prosecutors, witnesses, and sexual assault nurses in a realistic courtroom setting. Funded through the state budget, the building can be divided into three courts, includes viewing and film rooms, and will serve Allendale, Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper counties to strengthen representation in rural communities.
