First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:
- Within a 24 hour period, a man broke into three North Charleston businesses between Jan. 10 and Jan. 11. Officers have since arrested Robert Grandison on three counts of second-degree burglary. He was arrested Wednesday afternoon. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- A man who set fire to a police PT cruiser during the May 2020 downtown riots in Charleston was sentenced on Thursday. Abraham Jenkins pled guilty to charges of second-degree assault and battery, third-degree arson, and malicious injury to property. He will serve more than a year in a South Carolina prison for these actions. (WCBD News 2)
- On Thursday, the Charleston Police Department received a $30,000 grant from the Rotary Club of Charleston to support their leadership training programs. The Police Department launched its Leadership Development Institute in 2020 with a $50,000 grant from the Rotary. Their goal is to enhance the personal development of their partners and to create a safe community that helps build partnerships and develops leaders within it. (WCBD News 2)
