- The city of North Charleston says 43 employees left the city's police and fire departments after the Nov. 19 deadline to get vaccinated. City spokesman Ryan Johnson said the city terminated 16 police officers and 9 firefighters while 15 police officers and three firefighters tendered their resignations. Johnson said of the employees who resigned, only eight of them cited the vaccine mandate as the reason they were leaving their jobs, leaving 35 employees whose departure could be attributed to the mandate itself. - A leak on a main line in downtown Charleston's water supply system caused an emergency shut-off of water services yesterday. Customers on Jasper Street, Marion Street, and Logan Street from Smith to Coming streets were affected. (Charleston Post Courier)
