Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:
- The City of Charleston is considering building "micro-units" to help tackle the affordable housing crisis. Plans state that micro-units must be at least 250 square feet, but no larger than 375 square feet, and will not include a parking space. The city hopes to build 16,000 affordable micro-units over the next 10 years. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- A large fire was reported at Castlewood Townhomes in the early morning hours of Mar. 28. The Charleston Fire Department arrived in minutes and put out the blaze that had spread into the attic of the building. All five units in the building suffered varying degrees of smoke, fire, and water damage, and one person was transported to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. - A traveling Holocaust exhibit is stopping in Charleston and is welcoming visitors through Apr. 1 "The Cattle Car" is a free exhibit and will be located at several locations during its stop. Visitors will be able to go inside a replica of a cattle car that was used to transport people to concentration camps during WWII. (Charleston City Paper)

- The Charleston main public library branch will be closed on Apr. 2 while the Cooper River Bridge Run takes place. Residents will be able to use the book drops while the branch is closed. (Facebook)
- Country superstar Vince Gill is performing in Charleston this summer. His concert will take place on Jul. 9 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. Tickets go on sale on Apr. 1. (Holy City Sinner)
- Church tea room fundraisers are returning to Charleston. Churches were forced to cancel their fundraisers in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Several churches in Charleston are currently planning tea room fundraisers to take place in the near future. (Facebook)
