MUSC Welcomes New Physicians

 Charleston, SC – The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is pleased to welcome three new physicians to the most highly ranked hospital and physician practice in South Carolina.  These new physicians complement our world-class experts in the specialty areas of gastroenterology, vascular surgery, and colorectal surgery.  

Andrew Brock, M.D.

Dr. Brock, a board certified internal medicine physician received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed a residency at University of Virginia Health System and a Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is accepting new gastroenterology patients at the MUSC Ashley River Tower in downtown Charleston.

Nitin Garg, M.D.

Dr. Garg, a board certified vascular surgeon, received his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He completed a residency at the Creighton University School of Medicine and a Fellowship at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Garg will be accepting new patients at the MUSC Ashley River Tower in downtown Charleston.

Pinckney Johnstone Maxwell IV, MD FACS

Dr. Maxwell received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed residencies in general surgery and surgical research at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, He also completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.  Dr. Maxwell is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.  Dr. Maxwell will be accepting new patients at the MUSC Specialty Care- North office and the MUSC Ashley River Tower in downtown Charleston.
