Local Editors from Charleston area Patches pack lunches for East Cooper Meals on Wheels

MOUNT PLEASANT - The Charleston area Patch.com local editors spent Thursday morning packing lunches and dinners with East Cooper Meals on Wheels as part of the company's "Give 5" program.

Coinciding with the launch of MountPleasant-SC.Patch.com, all four local editors in the Charleston area (Greg Hambrick - GooseCreek.Patch.com; Lindsay Street - Summerville.Patch.com; Adam Crisp - MountPleasant-SC.Patch.com; and Jonathan Allen - WestAshley.Patch.com) helped the volunteers at ECMOW pack lunches and dinners for home-bound seniors and disabled citizens and those unable to provide meals for themselves in Mount Pleasant and surrounding areas.

Part of the Patch.com ethos is to give back to the communities we cover, so we provide 5 percent of our advertising space to local charities free of charge, and Patch.com employees spend five days a year volunteering in our communities.
