  1. After 67 years in business, family-owned Dukes BBQ of North Charleston will be closing its doors for good. Owner Lisa Warner announced on Facebook that the location would be closing, citing personal health reasons. Fortunately for fans of Dukes, the restaurant's sister store on Chestnut Street in Orangeburg is still open and thriving. (The Times and Democrat)
  2. Charleston County deputies have arrested Larron Jackson, 21, as the suspect in a drive-by shooting on John's Island Saturday evening. The two victims, both of whom are expected to survive the incident, were walking on the roadway near the 2800 block of Bohicket Road when the suspect pulled up in a vehicle and shot both of them. Jackson was charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. (ABC NEWS 4)
  3. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is investigating a deadly deputy-involved shooting that took place in West Ashley on Saturday morning as deputies responded to reports of gunshots. (WBTW)
  4. On Sunday morning, a Charleston County home was nearly hit by a car that left the road, flipped over several times, and landed just two feet away from the house. (WLTX.com)
  5. A proposed $100M+ North Charleston development project will bring a slew of new construction projects to the Centre Pointe area, including Topgolf, hotels, apartments, offices, and dining. (Subscription: Charleston Post Courier)
