🌱 Blue Angels Arrive In Charleston + Ten Sea Turtles Released

Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:

  1. The Navy's famed Blue Angels have arrived in Charleston for the 2022 Air Expo. The event is this weekend, Apr. 9 and 10, at Joint Base Charleston. Admission to the air show is free and parking passes are being provided to access the expo's on-base parking locations. Click the link to see the Blue Angles arriving in Charleston.   2. Charleston County's Procurement Department voices its concerns over an unauthorized contract issued by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office. According to a county procurement ordinance, any contract with a county agency worth more than $10,000 must receive three quotes from qualified suppliers to be considered. The Sheriff's Office signed a contract with Mila Consulting, LLC for $15,285 without following the contract rules. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  3. Charleston's South Carolina Aquarium released ten rehabilitated Kemp's ridley sea turtles into the Atlantic Ocean Tuesday morning. The turtles were released at Little Talbot Island State Park in Florida since the Carolina coast's waters are too cold. The aquarium is currently collecting donations for the other sea turtles that are recovering at the aquarium. (holycitysinner.com)
