Benefit for Lowcountry Food Bank

West Ashley artist sets up art sale to benefit Lowcountry Food Bank.

For those of you who follow my blog, you know I am a supporter of and volunteer with the Lowcountry Food Bank (LCFB).  I am not going to go into all the reasons the LCFB needs your support because you know the great need.

However, I want everyone to know that I have set up an art sale this Saturday, July 28th, with three other known artists from the Charleston area.  We are doing a benefit art sale from 11 am until 3 pm at Earth Fare, right here in West Ashley.  So, all of you "West Ashlians" need to come out and support this effort.  It has been a pleasure working with the people of Earth Fare and LCFB.  They have certainly given this effort their full support.  They should be commended for their efforts on behalf of the hungry in coastal SC.

The LCFB has sweetened the deal by offering for auction 2 week-long passes to the PGA tournament next month at Kiawah.  Anyone interested should stop by the LCFB table in front of Earth Fare this Saturday.

As a continuation of my art sale, I am setting up my work on the main wall in the Earth Fare Cafe on August 1st.  It will be showing and for sale through September.  I am continuing my commitment to LCFB by donating 20% of my sales to them.  In addition, I am donating a 20 x 30 framed print entitled, "West Ashley Sunset" for a silent auction during the two month show.  Bidding will start at $200 with all of the proceeds going to LCFB.  If you cannot make it to the sale or the show in August, contact me by email and I can take your bid.

Please pass the link to this blog on to your friends.  Help us fight HUNGER in coastal South Carolina.
