If 6 months ago you had told me I would be hooked on shows on History Channel, SyFy or A&E I would have laughed in your face. I guess the joke is on me. I have gotten hooked on a few shows you may have heard of or even watch yourself. I have a few favorites
One genre I consider a favorite is ghost stories such as Paranormal Witness, Ghost Hunters, School Spirits, etc. The more I watch them the more I believe in spirits. The first show of this type I started watching was Ghost Hunters. I had a hard time thinking they were serious "ghost hunters" since they drive a Roto-Rooter truck during the day. Do they check out hauntings where the toilet says, "flush me?" Okay, I am easily amused. Now, there are many more shows with similar subjects. Some are quite scary. To be honest, many of the shows now are quite convincing. I know the shows are real because I read it on the Internet.
Another favorite type of show is junk shows such as American Pickers. Mike and Frank, two guys from Iowa, drive all over the country buying pieces of American history, as they say, "one piece at a time." I really enjoy this show because they find some cool stuff and I have learned a surprising amount. I can feel my IQ skyrocketing. I need to be careful my head doesn't explode. I also enjoy Danielle. She is fairly easy on the eyes. There are also others like this. I have not come across them recently. I think they might be hiding on HGTV.

My third favorite type is bidders on storage lockers such as Storage Wars and Storage Wars Texas. These people fight to outbid each others to buy abandoned storage lockers put up for auction. The shows did a good job finding the buyers. There is a couple who have a store where they sell all types tools and household items, a goofy senior citizen who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, a big mouthed buyer who really thinks he is a "mogul" and a guy who has been in the business for years and constantly spews fractured cliches. There are other players from time to time but I don't want to ruin it for you. Oh yeah, if you want even odder characters, watch Storage Wars Texas. Ye haw! You need to see that for yourself.
My fourth favorite is a tie between Pawn Stars and Cajun Pawn Stars. To be honest with you, I have seen a lot of really interesting bits of American history and yes, I am thinking about retaking my SATs. With what I have learned from these shows I should ace it.

I know. I know. You are thinking, "this guy doesn't even know the definition of favorite." I actually do but, these shows are like children. I just don't want to upset one of them saying, "this one is my absolute favorite." That is like telling one of your children that you love them more than the others while they are standing in front of you. Okay, I think this tv viewing is getting out of hand. I think I need a "tv intervention." Oh, yeah I almost forgot...I really like Auction Kings too. Oops, I do need help.
