Here are the top stories in Charleston today:

  1. Some businesses in downtown Charleston are concerned about plans to improve King Street. The Charleston Downtown Alliance and the city are working together to make King Street a Business Improvement District (BID). A public hearing Tuesday brought floods of support as well as a few misgivings. The City council has already passed the resolution to create the BID, but it is expected to pass the ordinance later this month. (WCBD News 2)
  2. North Charleston City Council is expected to discuss a vaccination reward program for city employees during its meeting tonight. Mayor Keith Summey is expected to propose the program to the city council for those who have complied with the city's vaccination mandate.
    The monetary amount of that award will be decided tonight. (WCBD News 2)
  3. Taylor Music Group is hosting its Annual Celtic and Classical Christmas this Saturday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the Second Presbyterian Church. (holycitysinner.com)
