🌱 CCSD Superintendent Resigns + The Grit Counter Opening

Here are the top stories today in Charleston:

  1. Charleston County School District (CCSD) Superintendent Dr. Gerrita Postlewait resigned on Wednesday during a Board of Trustees meeting over holiday break. According to sources, some board members were dissatisfied with Postlewait's position on a multimillion-dollar proposal for district schools. (WCBD News 2)
  2. The Grit Counter is now serving up its bowls in North Charleston. The eatery began operating in Mount Pleasant in 2018, and the new location can be found at 3438 W Montague Avenue. (WTMA)
  3. Sean Robert Munson, a 32-year-old Charleston man, was arrested on December 21st for possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material. According to Attorney General Alan Wilson, he arrested on 10 charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors. (WCBD News 2)
