  1. Submissions for the Charleston AMA Spark! Awards are officially open. The awards are meant to recognize excellence in creativity and marketing. The Charleston American Marketing Association hosts the annual awards. There are 20 different categories that include social media, influencer, public relations, and video marketing.   2. SC Works Trident will host the Disability Expo and Job Fair today at 10:30 a.m. The event will be at SC Works Charleston on Hanahan Road. The event organizers hope that it will remove barriers to employment for those facing additional challenges. Various organizations will also attend to offer resources and assistance to those that need it. (Holy City Sinner)
  3. Doscher's IGA on Savannah Highway will begin liquidating its stock on May 4. The grocery store has been operating in Charleston for 48 years. The grocery store is closing due to its lease expiring and the unwillingness of the landlord to resign the lease. Discounts will begin at ten percent and gradually increase until all of the store's stock is sold. (Charleston Post Courier)
